I guess what I'm trying to say is I chose the name for this blog because I felt it represented life which is what I want this blog to be about. It’s not about who runs the best time, but who has the most fun. They are defiantly more of a fun run made up of families, crazy college kids and the free-spirited. It keeps life entertaining, it challenges our ability to think on our feet and often teaches us so much about ourselves that we would have otherwise never had the opportunity to learn. If you have been considering running in a 5k the Color Me Rad 5k is a great way to start. The pandemonium it's self also has it's own appeal. These moments are like small pearls we cherish and look forward to. I would gladly take part in another Color me Rad run in the future and was excited to get to experience it with three super awesome ladies! This race was the perfect end to a week full of pandemonium. ![]() By the time they have completed the race their lovely white clothes have been completely re-fashioned into crazy colored suits of triumph! In the race I ran they had a "color station" each kilometer which I was a fan of because it made it easy to know how close you were to the finish line. In a "color run" the racers dress in mostly white athletic wear (although some wear tutus as you will see Kristen doing in the pictures below!) and throughout the race they are pelted with colored corn starch. Color me Rad one of the many "color runs" as they are often called that happens across the U.S. I'm proud to say I ran the entire thing! ( Which was something I was worried about seeing as I hadn't been able to run the whole week before the race.)įor those of you who haven't had the opportunity to run in a Color me Rad run or don't even know what one is for that matter let me explain. On Saturday I ran my first 5k of the year with three of my really good friends! ( Emily, Kristen and Lauren) This was my first ever color run and the first 5k I had done in almost four years.
